1. If you have a strong internal Locus of Control, you believe that the outcomes of your life are something you have control over, as opposed to factors beyond your control.
2. If you can learn to direct your attention toward the factors that you can change and control, you will be more able to get into the Zone and succeed.
3. You will also be less anxious because you aren’t worrying about things that are beyond your control.
Today’s Exercise: Locus of Control
Fill out the “Locus of Control” exercise on page 19 of your Athlete Workbook.
Determine which factors in your life you can control, and then focus on those.
